Martell Cognac where looking to create a Duty Free experience which would help raise brand awareness and promote their products in airports across the world.

Billington Cartmell, Martell’s agency devised an interactive game based on the proposition “ A Story Worth Telling” where 4 players would have to guess the famous historical figure being described through a series of clues. Each of these characters where said to have “ A Story Worth Telling” of their own.

Complete Creative developed a piece of software in Macromedia Flash and Director which would allow up to 4 players to simultaneously play the game. They could play in any of 4 languages and choose which category of questions they would like to answer from. Complete Creative integrated the solution with the hardware, customized Microsoft Windows XP and configured the resolution of the game for a wide screen monitor. We travelled with the unit to ensure setup and configuration in Heathrow airport.

The game was controlled by a Martell host who could help the players with the game and award prizes to the highest scores. People where asked to enter a grand-prize draw which allowed for data-capture for Martell. The game has been expanded to include a voiceover, new languages and wireless keypads.

The game is scheduled for a 3 year tour of Duty Free’s around the world and has already been used by thousands of travellers already throughout Europe.
